The graduate work of Pierre St-Laurent was on the resonance of the barotropic tides in the Ungava Bay/Hudson Strait system (M.Sc.), and on the processes behind the variability of the freshwaters in Hudson Bay (Ph.D.).

He joined CCPO as a post-doctoral research associate in July 2010, studying ocean-sea ice-ice shelf interactions on the West Antarctic Ice Shelf under the supervision of Prof. John Klinck.
