Mark Dennett stands his watch in the BIOMAPER-II control van. From here the winch to raise and lower the instrument in the water column is remotely operated. Several security cameras monitor the equipment and computers display the bottom and instrument depth. All data from the instrument is recorded here and some initial data processing is done in the van (Photo by Carin Ashjian).
