Possible new species? Our GLOBEC trawling program recently caught this member of the deep-sea fish family, Opisthoproctidae, the “spookfishes”. We won't know until we get home and confer further with our colleagues about it, but so far nobody can put a name to it. We are trying not to be too excited, but it's hard (Photo by Jose Torres).
