Coastal Wind Energy
Wind turbines over the shallow coastal ocean are thought to be a
source of electrical energy for the large populations along the eastern
US coast. CCPO is active in analyzing existing observations to
quantify the potential for energy generation in the Virginia coastal
waters and Chesapeake Bay.
