Task: Use help to get information about *, pi, sin. Use doc to get information about plot, sine, graph. (You will notice that the response to one of these requests is not a useful as you might have expected.)
Type help command in the command window to get information about a particular command. A short overview of the command is printed in the command window.
For example, help sqrt will return information about the square root command.
help help provides information about the help command.
If the command does not exist, this command returns "command not found", with some additional information.
Help provides information that is somewhat condensed. It provides reminders for what the command does, what information the command requires and options available for the command.
A limitation of help is that you must know the name of the command.
The command doc followed by a command name or a general topic will open a separate window and display a web-like document browser for additional information on commands and general procedures.
